  • Increases Cognition: Yoga has been shown to produce cognitive (executive functioning, including inhibitory control) acute benefits.

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice originated from India. There are many Yoga practices, the most common being Hatha yoga and Rāja yoga. Yoga is considered a physical exercise because it improves flexibility, building strength and developing control in the body.

 

Physical exercise is very important for the body, some of the benefits associated with regular exercise is that it reduces the risk of diseases such as heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and cancer.

 

Along with increasing oxygen and blood supply to the muscles and organs of the body, exercise reduces bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol and is a great mood enhancer because it helps to reduce depression and anxiety according to research studies. 

 

Incorporating lifestyle changes like exercising regularly can go a long way in improving health and increasing longevity.
